and Chairman of the Company

WEST VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, April 20, 2006 – Consolidated Venturex Holdings
Ltd. (TSXV: CVA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Douglas L Mason as a director
and Chairman of the Company. The Company has also appointed Mr. John Kowalchuk, P.Geo,
as V.P. Explorations. Mr. Preston Zeeben has resigned from the Board but will remain a
consultant for the Company. The Company wishes to thank Mr. Zeeben for his valuable services
as a director.
As a result of these changes, the new corporate structure for the Company will be as follows:
Douglas Mason - Chairman and director
Ron Coombes - President and director
John Morita (CGA) - CFO, director and chair of audit committee
Ben Ainsworth (P.Eng) - Independent director and member of audit committee
Bruce Morley (LLB, B Comm.) - Independent director and member of audit committee
John Kowalchuk (P.Geo) - V.P. Explorations
Additionally, the Company has granted 2,955,000 incentive stock options at an exercise price of
$0.12 per share to certain directors and officers pursuant to the Company’s amended stock
option plan which amended plan was approved by shareholders at the Company’s recent annual
general meeting.
Consolidated Venturex Holdings Ltd is in the business of the exploration and development of
natural resource properties and is currently seeking exploration opportunities.
