Consolidated Venturex Commences Drilling on the LJ Property
September 7, 2006
WEST VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA – September 7, 2006 - Consolidated Venturex Holdings Ltd. (the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has started core drilling on the “LJ Property” optioned from Selkirk Metals Corp. (“Selkirk”) of Vancouver, B.C. The LJ Property is located approximately 35 kilometres north of Revelstoke, B.C. via highway 23. The Company expects to complete 1500 metres of NQ core drilling by approximately October 1, 2006, weather permitting.
Geological mapping and prospecting on the LJ Property has recently been completed by the Company. The fieldwork has resulted in the discovery of two new zones of stratiform zinc-lead-silver mineralization. This mineralization is similar in style and texture to sedex mineralization. The Company has completed systematic sampling of the two mineralized horizons and is presently waiting for analytical results. Drilling completed by Selkirk in 2005 intersected a similar style of mineralization (as reported by Selkirk in its news release dated October 24, 2005) and may be the down plunge extension of an anticlinal fold nose to the newly discovered bedded mineralized zones.
The Company recently reported the closing of a non-brokered flow-through and non-flow-through private placement for total proceeds of $499,200, which proceeds are being used for exploration and development of the LJ Property and for general working capital.
