Drilling Intersects 6.7m of Zinc-Lead-Silver Mineralization

WEST VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA – September 19, 2006 - Consolidated Venturex Holdings Ltd. (the “Company”) is pleased to announce encouraging drilling results on its “LJ Property”, as optioned from Selkirk Metals Corp. (“Selkirk”) of Vancouver, B.C. The LJ Property is located approximately 35 kilometres via highway 23, north of Revelstoke, B.C.
Specifically, core drill hole 06-03 intersected 6.7m of heavily mineralized interbedded sphalerite, galena and pyrite mineralization from 63.4m to 70.1m. Within that zone, greater than 60% sulphide was intersected from 67.8m to 70.1m. The Company’s project geologist has indicated that the mineralized intersection is similar in both appearance and texture to the Company’s two recently discovered showings (as reported in the Company’s news release dated September 7, 2006) and the mineralization previously reported by Selkirk in its news release dated October 24, 2005. At that time, Selkirk reported that mineralization in its drill hole LJ-05-02 assayed 10.70% zinc, 4.90% lead and 9.40 g/t silver over 5 metres from 132.8 metres to 137.8 metres within 15 metres of 6.81% zinc, 2.69% lead and 3.93 g/t silver from 122.8 metres to 137.8 metres (estimated true width of 11 metres).
From the Company’s drilling and investigations to date, it appears that this zone of mineralization has all the indications of a strataform SEDEX style of mineralization. The Company believes that its new intersection indicates continuity of the massive sulphide mineralization over a distance of 170 meters from the surface showing to the intersection in Selkirk’s drill hole LJ-05-02. Assays of the Company’s drilling results are pending.
