Venturex and MacMillan Complete Option to Joint Venture Mexican Gold Properties

West Vancouver, British Columbia – July 18, 2007 – Venturex Explorations Inc. (the “Company”) is pleased to announce that, further to its news release dated March 15, 2007, that MacMillan Gold (TSX-V: MMG) and the Company finalized the required definitive Joint Venture Agreement to acquire eight properties known as the “Tetasairi Gold Properties” located in the state of Sinaloa in Mexico. The Company is required to spend US$1,000,000 in exploration commitments over a four year period.
In the immediate area, an exploration company began grassroots reconnaissance of the area in 1997, received encouraging surface mapping and assay results and conducted the first phase of confirmation drilling in mid-1998. In 1999 a preliminary resource was calculated. Pan America Silver acquired the property in 2002 and construction of the Alamo Dorado mine was completed in November 2006. It is reported that the Alamo Dorado mine is expected to produce on average of approximately 4.3 million ounces of silver and 10,000 ounces of gold annually over the life of the mine.
In March, the Company’s Qualified Person, John Kowalchuk P.Geo., conducted a site visit to evaluate the Tetasairi Gold Properties, he noted that the Tetasairi properties have a similar alteration and breccia style of quartz-sulphide mineralization to that of the nearby Alamo Dorado mine. Favorable silver and gold values were previously reported from hand trenching of one silicified breccia pipe within the Tetasairi properties. The hand trench was sampled and although not representative of the entire trenched zone, these samples did confirm the presence of precious metals within the trenched zone. The Company is now planning an exploration, core drill program of the property later this year. The Company’s Qualified Person, John Kowalchuk P.Geo., has reviewed this release.
